چکیده

Abstract Background Cysteine-rich receptor-like kinases (CRKs) represent a large subfamily of and play vital roles in diverse physiological processes regulating plant growth development. Results CaCRK5 transcripts were induced pepper upon the infection Ralstonia solanacearum treatment with salicylic acid. The fusions between green fluorescence protein targeted to plasma membrane. Suppression via virus-induced gene silencing (VIGS) made plants significantly susceptible R. infection, which was accompanied decreased expression defense related genes CaPR1 , CaSAR8.2 CaDEF1 CaACO1 . Overexpression increased resistance against Nicotiana benthamiana Furthermore, electrophoretic mobility shift assay chromatin immunoprecipitation coupled quantitative real-time PCR analysis revealed that homeodomain zipper I CaHDZ27 can active through directly binding its promoter. Yeast two-hybrid bimolecular complementation (BiFC) analyses suggested heterodimerized homologous member CaCRK6 on Conclusions Our data played positive role immune responses pepper.

transcriptome analysis of tobacco in response to ralstonia solanacearum infection

one of the best strategies to control bacterial wilt caused by ralstonia solanacearum (smith) is generally based on breeding resistant cultivars. the information obtained from the expression of plant defense genes will provide new insight for improving plant resistance against pathogens. this study was to identify inducible genes under defense no death (dnd) reaction of tobacco (nicotiana tabac...

S-glycoprotein-like protein regulates defense responses in Nicotiana plants against Ralstonia solanacearum.

RsRGA4 (for Ralstonia solanacearum-responsive gene A4) encodes a polypeptide similar to S-locus glycoprotein (SGP) from Brassica rapa and SGP-like proteins from Ipomoea trifida and Medicago truncatula. Therefore, we designated RsRGA4 as NtSGLP (for Nicotiana tabacum SGP-like protein) and NbSGLP (its Nicotiana benthamiana ortholog). NbSGLP is expressed in root, leaf, petal, gynoecium, and stamen...

Elicitor-Induced Defense Responses in Solanum lycopersicum against Ralstonia solanacearum

We investigated on important parameters of induced resistance in hydroponic tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) against Ralstonia solanacearum using the elicitors chitosan (CHT), salicylic acid (SA), and jasmonic acid (JA). The increase in total phenolic content of roots by the elicitors was significantly higher than control. Most pronounced increase in lignin synthesis was triggered by SA followed b...

Induction of Specific Humoral Immune Response in Mice against a Pseudomonas aeruginosa Chimeric PilQ/PilA Protein

Background: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, an opportunistic pathogen, is a common cause of healthcare-associated infections in immunocompromised individuals. The rapid emergence of multidrug-resistant strains has made P. aeruginosa infections progressively difficult to treat. In this study we evaluated the effect of a chimeric protein containing a P. aeruginosa PilQ fragment and the PilA disulfide loo...

The Ectopic Expression of CaRop1 Modulates the Response of Tobacco Plants to Ralstonia solanacearum and Aphids

In plants, Rho-related GTPases (Rops) are versatile molecular switches that regulate various biological processes, although their exact roles are not fully understood. Herein, we provide evidence that the ectopic expression of a Rop derived from Capsicum annuum, designated CaRop1, in tobacco plants modulates the response of these plants to Ralstonia solanacearum or aphid attack. The deduced ami...
